Well i finally got a Weber..it only took me almost 2 years

I have a few q's for those of you that have the Weber.

1. What the heck do I do with the fuel return line???? the Weber doesn't have a post for it

2. Electric choke, my 80 had one stock but it got taken off the carb, all of the wiring is still there I just need to know which wire to hook up.

3. not really a question but I'm making my own mounting plate and will be modifiing the throttle linkage instead of buying the items from Weber. I'll let yall know how it runs after i get it put on this weekend.

the return line can be plugged and or removed.

the electric choke can be hook up the stock harness. there should be some wires that went to the stock carb. just find the one thats hot when the key is on. then hook that to the choke on the carb.

for the linkage, take the bellcrank deal from the stock carb and put it on the weber. itll bolt right on. then just mount the cable to the valve cover so its solid.

For the cable I have a chunk of 1/4" aluminum bolted to one of the intake manifold studs. I bent the ends the same angle so that it was in the right position to hold the cable, ended up sort of shaped like a stretched out Z. Something like this:

\____
.........\

(ignore the dots)

On the top side where the cable goes through drill the hole then cut a slot to it from one side. That way you can slip the cable in through the slot.

These darn newbies, never want to search for the info they need. You'd think when they hit 1000 posts they'd learn... :P

Well, I searched for you and I found a post linking to weber adjustments. Just look who started the post!
