My 79 4x4 runs right about 20-21 city, highway, pretty much anywhere. It also drinks a bit of oil at the same time though.

My 77 2WD runs in the 25 range, and it dips down to 21-22 if its all city driving.

it might be a little different for u farmer, i have a weber on mine and im not to sure its tuned just right, and your not in montana, most of montana has gas of lesser quality compared to most other states, so it does affect our milage, if yours it tuned right and your engine has been striped of all the emisions stuff like the smog pump and all the vacum relays, you should get better then me, but thats just my expearience, im not to sure on the quality of gas in idaho, but i belive its better then montana.

For as expensive as Montana's gas is I would think it would be some good stuff.

With the way I drive, I get about 10mpg in the city or 12 on the highway. 8)

i belive it is a direct bolt up, i have read some other threads of someone acualy doin it, but you have to have custom drive shafts made, and you have to use the trooper cross member and transfer case

Well was pretty disapointed in the mileage (if you wanna call it even that) that the luv was gettin. Turns out, I has the vac. lines wrong on the carb.--holley 650--to the secondaries, as soon as I hit the gas, it was dumping fuel to all 4 barrels  Rerouted some lines and wudda you know, I can now drive around for a day without hittin the station more then once.

My gas milage just went up a whole bunch too. Its amazing what a non slipping tranny will do. 8) Its also a whole lot faster than before.
