Actually you can re-use the nut IF you go about it correctly: the nut has been staked to the threads to keep it from backing off, so you need to run a tap through the nut to clean the dent out of the threads, then also run a die over the pinion shaft threads to clean them up, afterwards the torque is not effected by the deformed threads. I have had good luck torquing the nut to 100 ft-lbs with the p-brake on, wheels chocked, this seems to get it tight enough without getting it too tight and collapsing the crush sleeve too far. I like to use a little thread locker and be sure to stake the nut threads to the shaft. Timken # 474133 for the seal.
