The planning of 9/11 was done during the Clinton administration. So for up to 8 years nothing was done to shut the door on Bin Laden's actions.
NAFTA in itself was the opening of the floodgates to jobs going abroad (A Clinton administration agenda). Major manufacturing was heading south of the border.
Lets not forget whose watch it was when bin laden hit the trade center the first time. Or who was offered up bin laden 4 times and passed for one reason or another.
Don't forget getting in bed with the Chinese and opening "trade" with them.
Daddywabbit... warmonger? please, I suppose Clinton was a warmonger for the action in Bosnia? Or was it a "wag the dog" to take some attention away from the sex scandal?
If you want to save jobs and are really committed to what you believe, stop buying any goods or services that aren't made in the U.S. Don't use companies that outsource customer service lines to foreign countries either.
As for the economy sucking, well it sucked well before Bush became Pres.
The economy was artificially inflated in the 90's by slew of dotcommers. Once that went away the numbers don't look so good.
I'm not sure by your statement about 9/11 having nothing to do with the economy, but if you are saying that it had no effect on it you are wrong.
Do I think Bush is the best man for the job? Not by any stretch, but Kerry reminds me of a Jimmy Carter. Not what we need at this point I think.
Aren't these political discussions fun and pretty usless at the same time?

I mean really has anyone changed their opinion?
BTW in case anyone is interested... There is growing concern over Social Security as the Baby Boomers are reaching retirement age.
I did some searching and found I think the root of the problem.... It was never designed to be paid out. Social Security was enacted in 1935 and signed by Roosevelt. Now, how is this not designed to be paid out?, well here goes...
In 1935 the life expectancy was 61.7 years give or take a few months.
Now you have to ask yourself "why would the age at which you can collect be higher than the life expectancy?" Answer: Cash cow! That had to be some great marketing to sell that to the American People, I guess looking at the time period and the depression people were looking for some sense of security and got scammed.
