does any one know what the fuel pump pressure should be on 1981 1.8
reason asking is been though 2 in line cheap pumps and trying to see if it not putting out enough or to much

On a 78 the fuel pressure is 3.56 psi. It maybe the same on a 81.

kool thanks thats around what im getting at the carb i think my pick up tube in the tank is what is casueing the issuse i belive it is clog and thats causeing the pumps to go

When I got my truck it had a cheap aftermarket pump under the hood. It had to go because it was to load. Bought a napa (carter brand) fuel pump on ebay (new for $30) and put it back in regular spot. Put on a weber and a fuel regulator (set at 2.5 psi) with no more problems.
