LUVSADRAG, I hope you post some pics of the rebuild. LS series engines have six bolt mains plus the new short block is made to withstand 500 h.p. The 18 degree heads do flow better than the best flowing sbc heads. The cast iron block is only 80 pounds heavier than the aluminum. What gets me is the rebuild kit for a small block Chevy is about eighty bucks, and for the LS7 it's about a thousand. I know some guys with stock F-body cars that have been tweeked and are running in the high 12's with 3400 pound cars.
check out the new LSX blocks... designed to withstand 1200+ hp. of course there are guys out there pushing 2000+ through them.
The Z06 is rated at 12.68 in the 1/4.... thats stock,. mine has a Thunder Racing cam, Borla Stingers and a CAI. Dyno'd at 372rwph (350 rwph is stock). I am going to put on long tube headers and hope to get another 20-25hp from that. Then its off to the drag strip where i hope to put down some low 12's on motor and low 11's on the oxide. now all i gotta do is save up $700 for some headers!!!! yeah they ream C5 owners.
