I havent been on in a while due to some crazy VoIP project I have going on at work... what a mess and no end in site until July 07. Hope everybody is doing well and wrenching on their LUVs. I havent had time to even look at mine but the status is: I cannot find good enough heads to support my 450 motor and soooooo I am heavily considering dropping the pistons out to fly cut them... some of you know where i am going with this. I may go with Brodix 14* heads and Jessel Rockers with a new Hogans sheetmetal intake... possibly two 750 Dominators. we shall see... Im on my 3rd set of heads and still cannot make the magic 350 CFM I want.

otherwise I've been tearassing around San Diego in the Z06. most recent kill story is me vs. an 07 Yamaha FZ1 last night. he got drug 3 times in a row... then my clutch pedal hung up so that was it but you get the picture. the bike got shamed infront of everybody and I didnt even touch the button.

Hope everybody is doing well in the new year.
Peace out.

If you or only making 450 hp why is there a head problem (you sly dog you) if you want 350cfm the quick and easy way is a blower it's not stealthy but it will take no prisoners either.

Well now that changes every thing  but i still don't see why you need 350cfm unless you plan on turning some extreme RPM's A bid super charger would be stealthy though.Man would that be a hand full but worth it yeha. 8)

I need the CFM to support the cam I want to run... .780"-.800"+ lift and 14.9:1 compression. right now I barely have enough to support .720"-.740" ish.

I've always been into the crackle of a big cam, high compression motor so i dunno, I just ain't feelin the supercharger.... never have. its too easy for me.

I am seriously considering a Gen III SBC actually. if any of you have read up on the C6 Z06 (LS7 motor) you may have heard that their heads are CNC ported from the factory and flow in upwards of 345CFM BONE STOCK. the LS7 is 505HP and picks up 100HP from a cam swap only!!! No additional port work, no headers no nothing. 100HP!!!! Needless to say, I am intrigued. I don't have the $13K to get me a crate LS7 from Summit so I am currently hunting around for the parts to assemble a 7.0 motor from a 6.0 truck block and an aftermarket crank. ok it wont be an alloy block but i will have the cubes and hopefully get me some LS7 heads at least. 6 bolt mains, yee hah!!!

LUVSADRAG, I hope you post some pics of the rebuild. LS series engines have six bolt mains plus the new short block is made to withstand 500 h.p. The 18 degree heads do flow better than the best flowing sbc heads. The cast iron block is only 80 pounds heavier than the aluminum. What gets me is the rebuild kit for a small block Chevy is about eighty bucks, and for the LS7 it's about a thousand. I know some guys with stock F-body cars that have been tweeked and are running in the high 12's with 3400 pound cars.

There is a company in Oregon that installs turbos on F-body cars that gives you up to 50% more power. 350 hp translates to 475 hp with a bolt on where, the turbo bolts on in front of the rear end. There is no lag time and no need for an intercooler.

check out the new LSX blocks... designed to withstand 1200+ hp. of course there are guys out there pushing 2000+ through them.

The Z06 is rated at 12.68 in the 1/4.... thats stock,. mine has a Thunder Racing cam, Borla Stingers and a CAI. Dyno'd at 372rwph (350 rwph is stock). I am going to put on long tube headers and hope to get another 20-25hp from that. Then its off to the drag strip where i hope to put down some low 12's on motor and low 11's on the oxide. now all i gotta do is save up $700 for some headers!!!! yeah they ream C5 owners.

yes, that would be STS turbos. a lot of Z06 guys on some of the forums i browse use them to great success... some are making upwards of 750-800hp on their strokers. right now all i can afford is a 150 shot of the dope. I dont want to get too crazy on my daily driver.
