If it has a 5 speed it would work in a 2wd LUV. Also it would have a g200 motor.

If the engine is carbed its a 2.3 and if it has fuel injection it is a 2.6.

Yes, the oil pan would need to be swapped. DO NOT THROW AWAY THE 5 SPEED.

if tis a 92 it wont have a g200. it will either have a 2.3 or maybe a 2.6. the oil pans from the Gxxx motors and the 4Zxx motors will not interchange.

If it has the 2.3 or 2.6 and you want to stick it in the Luv I'm pretty sure you'll need to swap oil pans with a 4x4 Trooper/Amigo/Pup that had either the 2.3 or the 2.6 (I believe the oil pans are the same between the two engines)
Troopers from 86-87 had the 2.3 (all were 4x4)
Troopers from 87.5-91 had the 2.6 (again all were 4x4)
Amigos from 89-94 had the 2.6 (only the 4x4 versions though, the 2wd's got the 2.3)
4x4 Pups from 86-87(I think) had the 2.3
4x4 Pups from 88-95 had the 2.6

hope that helps
