to lower it static, crank the torsions bars in the front, and put blocks in the back.

theres a couple guys on here that have bagged their truck. just ask around.

Just be sure to count the number of turns you make on each torsion bar. Otherwise you will never get the truck level again.

Look for these on each side of the trans crossmember. Make sure that the truck is on jackstands to unload the weight. Spray them with WD-40 so they'll turn smoothly. Both 2WD and 4WD trucks adjust the same.

That's right. We know everything and nobody can tell us what to do ever, ever again. 8)

Flipping the ball joints wouldn't work well on a LUV. It would be too much of a hassle to do that kind of mod when loosening the tension on the torsion bars is so easy.
The topic of the torsion bar adjuster came up before and to readily explain what parts were common to it, i drew up a picture showing what was involved. MS Paint comes in pretty handy when you need to draw up stuff. I got a ton of stuff on my truck drawn up to keep track of all the mods done. Axle measurements, wiring diagrams, motor mounts and such.
Click on "Start" / "Programs"/ "Accessories"/ "Paint". Play around with it and you'll see how you can use it to keep a record of your mods.

I didn't get along with Paint at first, but after needing to keep track of some wiring mods, i gotserious about learning how to use it. Now i put everything on Paint and it's easy to pull up any info to refresh my memory.
