It's a little dirty. Haven't cleaned it in a while since it still has its use around the house.

That one is not half bad. I have seen much worse. A cap would cover that one up nicely.

Are you sure, rondog because it is pulled up. I was afraid that I would have to cut chunks out of the dash.

Okay LuvMyTruck, Rondog took the words right out of my mouth. That's exactly what I was thinking. A dash cap would take care of you. Where the edges are curled up go ahead and use a sharp utility knife and trim it off. Save the pieces in case you want to set some piece in the gap. You could fill the gap with anything, as long as it doesn't bulge or protrude. Make sure you try the cap a few times dry to check for fit. When you place it in with glue for the final time take three or four new and still-wrapped paper towel rolls and maybe a dozen toilet paper rolls and stuff them in with one hand while you and another person keep a steady forward pressure on the cap. Keep holding it by hand for a good ten minutes at least. I did mine during warmer weather and left it there overnight. It's solid and looks really great!! My dash was cracked worse than yours!! I didn't want to photograph it; it was embarrassing!! I do have some photos that show how bad it was though. Here's a before and after.

The picture of the dash cap shows two openings for the defroster vents. You should still have those to use. The speaker for the radio was originally in the center of the dash; mine is now stereo and the speakers are on the doors. I don't have anything there where the center speaker used to be, do I covered it with some thing dark. The speaker grill is on the cap, so you shouldn't have to worry about the old one. Just be sure to fit the cap on dry as many times as you need to make sure it's going to lay flat on the dash and not be rocking over any high spots. It's a hard thick plastic and holds a form of it's own, but I wouldn't expect it to hover over empty space, so fill it all in. You might even glue the defroster vents down first and then add the cap. Take it slow and you should be fine.

I would say that I agree with Ron and FullaLuv, you may think your dash is trash but it is in good condition and a perfect one for the cap. Buy the cap and put the extra money from not buying a new dash elsewhere in the LUV.

I've been so busy all day...here's some photos of the dash. I'm going to explain that the LUV has been parked for some time, and a few cats have trekked across the hood and cowl and the wind has been howling. So the photos are a little uncomplementary to my taste, but they're here for you because you asked. I will also say that the dash looks better than this in actuality.
