Anyone know what the ID of the fuel filler hose is for a 1978 Luv? I don't want to take it off until I have the replacement hose in hand so it is hard to guess for sure.

I dont remember the I.D. but the NAPA part # is NBH 1035. It took me forever to find a suitable replacement for mine when i removed my tank.

Here's a couple photos of the hose. BlackLuv80: You should get your payment very soon!!! LOL

There aren't any numbers on the hose. Maybe if I wash it with soap and water I might be able to see some numbers, but I measured it, and it's a 2" inside-diameter hose, so perhaps that info will help. It's pre-curved and about 13½" in length. I bent the measuring tape to the curves to get the length.

I Thought It Was Illegal To Transplant Dirt From One Side of The Country To The Other.

Well I Guess That Means No Luck on A Actual Factory Part Number. Sorry, Maybe Someone Else Can Round It Up.

Hey I got a manual off eBay tonight! It's a Series 8, for my '78. Maybe when it comes I can find that in there. I dunno, but LUVTruck.com has some reference stuff you can look up...

I'm goin' to look...

I don't know where to get that info. Maybe someone has a parts CD or whatever it is you need to find that. I cleaned my first one and wrapped it in Gorilla® tape and it worked fine. I only used it once though. I wanted a whole one.

78inIowa, is yours cracked? In the middle? Take it off, and wash it in the kitchen sink with dishsoap and hot water. Dry it well, maybe blow dry it some more with a hair dryer. Tape it very tightly over and over and it should run awhile.

Thanks for the help guys. I think we will try the wrapping technique first, it may get us through until we find one or order one.

Don't know if this helps you, but the OEM part number for that hose should be 94026175 according to the parts manual. They used the same hose for series 6,8,9,10. Should fit 1977 - 1980 trucks.
