Hi all

I'm from Australia and the luv is'nt quite as popular here, cause they stopped making them here in 79. I need help cause everyone here is useless. I want to put in a 2.6lt Isuzu injected 4ze1 with a 4zc1 turbo mounted to it into my 76 luv. Has anyone done this over there and if so could you give me some tips before I start. Thanks

Im looking at doing the same job down the track.

The turbo off the Piazza will be too small for the 2.6L, it was only just big enough for the 2L motor. But it will bolt up.
The 2.6L ECU wont like what the turbo does.

What other help and info were you after???? Ive got LUV, KB and TF Rodeo bits coming out my arse. Ive got 5 Piazza's too as well as 2 Shuttle busses.

Ive got a thread up somewhere with pics of my vehicles in it.

Im currently into a brake conversion (from 4 wheel drums) using std bits from other model Isuzus. Im also fitting up a slightly wider diff with a LSD centre so i can run the rims ive got.

It wont be for everyone as im going for a track increase front and rear at the same time so i can use later model wheels/rims with a deeper offset.




We got all the same gear as you do fella.

In at a yard the other day squashing wrecks for scrap. Found a stripped late model 2000 or so Trooper, i was eyeing off the diff in it, brakes and all. Would have grabbed it if the guy in the office hadnt wanted $250 for it and it wasnt way too wide and i wasnt sure if it was LSD or not.

Oh well, im sure i will find another one one day.

You have a few Isuzu parts available down under that sure aren't that available in the US. Speaking of "gear", I wish I could find shuttle buses in yards around here. From what I hear they have 5.38 gears in the 10 bolt diff under them, and nothing in the states came with them.

MEPR: Man, my 4x4 makes all other LUVs look good

They were only early shuttles from what i can work out, probably African or Egyptian models with a baby motor. We didnt get the 4x4 Shuttles that other countries got here.

You should be able to find plenty of 4.555 and 4.777 diffs.
