the luv there looks kinda different with that visor thing on it.
oh and what does the luvs tag on the fender say?
Nah a Rodeo is any KB from 81 (that shape) on 2x4 or 4x4 single cab, dual cab or space cab. The later shape TF is called the Rodeo and now the new shaped RA is the Rodeo as well.
The Rodeo wagon you got was called a Frontera here as was the Amigo before it but we only got a crappy little opel motor in ours.
The fender badge says, Isuzu KB.
I like the visor, its got that grandpa look
Its not actually a Luv, its an Isuzu. They were sold here thru Holden General Motors and i think that the 76 model was the last Chev badged one. Mines a 79. They never had the G180Z in them only the G161Z (and C190) and i dont even think you could get a 5 speed. Ive got the option of grabbing a SWB 4x4 off a guy at work its comes with a LWB 2x4 for spares, both are diesel.
They were sold up against the Holden ute which was bigger and had an inline 6cyl or V8.
Heres the HQ released in 72
This is the HJ it was 76
The sold the Holden utes thru till 84 with minor upgrades on the front. Up till 1980 it was directly related to the family Sedans and wagons which shared the doors and front tin. After 80 it was just the ute and the larger than sedan Statesman luxury car. The ute, station wagon, and Pannel van were all built on the same wheel base, 2" longer than the sedan and coupe.
After 84 they had no local ute and the Rodeo pickup was it.
Sorry bout the useless info rant.
Cheers. Bob.
