well it all depends on how your motor is built. if its just a stock motor i wouldnt take it much more past 6000, but if you have it built and balanced and all that stuff, itll prolly do 8500-9000 pretty good.

i personally take the pup to about 6500 every once and a while. it gets to goin.

depends, some engine lose power as the rpm's get much above 5000rpm, I don't think the Luv has one of those engines, I've had mine rev'd up to at least 6500rpm a couple times, seems to pull really good up there, so I'm guessing that up there it's still making 80hp or so.

Chavy, if you keep running at above 6k, you will soon see your connecting rods outside of your block.

Normal driving, I don't let it get above 4500, most of the time I stay around 3400 or so, I'd like the engine to last me until i can get a 2.6 built up and in.

i had my cam ground to make HP from 3000-5000. Stock the cam gives you peak HP at 4800rpm. Past that your only making noise. Stock cam also gives you peak torque at 3000. How i have always drivien my truck is rev it up to peak HP then the next gear drops you back down to your peak TQ rpm. But honestly most all Isuzu engines are realy made to rev out hard. And your doing more damage to em by shifting it at 2000rpm than you are shiting at 6000rpm...

well unfortunatly the cam is already spoken for by another buddy of mine whith an Imark. But the rest of the engine whith out that cam wil soon be for sale and i would guess it would make in the nieghborhood 110-120hp. Even before the cam i could 3pedal power brake it with 30" BFG A/Ts on dry pavement....

i just told delta cams here in tacoma i wanted a cam that would just boost hp and tq a little bit within the factory power band. They did the rest. Youll just have to provide a stock cam so they can use it for the re-grind...
