All of the 4.3's I have seen have a 700r4 behind them.

correct me if IM wrong, but i believe they can hook up to anything a 350 will take!? Its basically a 350 with two cut off, right.

sorry, but anytime anyone starts talkin 4.3, you know i start getting moist and sweaty :twisted: i dig that motor.

the 350"small block 283-400" and the 4.3 share a lot of parts -the water pump the rods, pistons ,lifters,push rods,timing chain,dampner,flywheel,and to answer your question any trans that bolts to a small block will bolt to a 4.3

Yah, they have the same bolt pattern as a small block v8. Th350, TH400, 700R4, 4L60, 4L80, 4L60E, and 4L80E should work.
