Hi, this is kind of a different question, almost more out of curiousity, but we'll see how it goes.

Has anyone pursued installing cold air intake on thier LUV?

Let me know what you think. Thanks. Aaron.

It's for anyting, i'm gonna try one day to do it for my own truck, box and all too, just got to build it. Ram-air is alright for now, but it's not really that great though, but it helps.

i had a cold air setup on a weber in my truck. it worked pretty good.

i don't think it would help for a stone stock truck. this setup if geared for a hotter running motor, i had a weber, headers, cam and a bore job. and was producing so much heat under the hood that the truck was running rich on hot days, since the weber carb has an open air cleaner.

the aluminum pipe and ram filter extended to a hole so the filter didn't pick up hot air through the radiator.

this made the truck a bear to warm up in the mornings though, so i would reccomend a manual choke.

My truck is stock, so I guess it probably wouldn't be a good idea.
It's good to know that its possible though. Thanks for the input.
...maybe a future addition to the lil' LUV... :)

Thanks. Aaron.

If I ever put my Weber back on my daily driver I plan on putting together something of an intake. The stock Weber open air filter is annoyingly loud and putting the intake out front will quiet it down a lot.
