I got the seat for free from a guy here in town.. they are supposed to be from a mid 80's Astro Van...i'd like some sportier mirrors myself but the great big holes from these mirrors will be hard to fill

thanks for the comments

An old timer body shop trick to fill big holes is to leave the bolt in but not tight. Leave it loose enough to weld around the threads where it meets the surface of whatever its going through. Then just use a cut off tool to whack the eccess off and grind it smooth. Or if you dont have a welder you can dimple the hole with the round end of a ball peen hammer and use fiber glass fabric/resin and body filler. Used both methods on my Luv.

thanks everyone...

the mirrors are not stock but were on it when i got it...

the truck hasn't been lowered. it sits on some 15" rims with 50 series tires and that's it for suspension mods..

as for the holes int the doors, a trick i learned from aircraft work is to dimple the hole it and squeeze up a steel countersunk rivit in the hole... usually works good and is permanent...

the tonneau cover is for an s-10 and it is a bit small. it's about 1 1/2 too narrow and and 1 or so too short.. but it will work for now.

right now i'm running the stock 1.8 bottom end with some slightly different head. It looks like a 1.8 head but has a hole and boss for a mechanical fuel pump???
but for now it's a stocker.
