i live in a rural county and we only smog if there's an owner change....unless it's in the family....i've owned around 15 cars and i've only had to smog one of em.....

on the other hand i developed a problem.......i'm pushing too much air through the carb now and i need to custom set my float....

i get up to 6000 rpm in third and the engine cuts out and in and out and in....etc.....i've already checked my fuel delivery and the flow and pressure are good....what do i change? and how do i change it?

i belive i need to set the float to 42 mm (stock) if i set the float to a lower height will it stop draining the bowl? do i have to adjust the drop too?

mine came with the standard open element..... after i put this cold air pipe and ram filter on, it just started acting like the float is off. i had it do this once before and the float level was the problem, but it's set correctly now and still draining the bowl.

Nice looking piece :thumbs up:

Yeah smog definitely sucks.... But here in Rhode Island, if the vehicle is over 25 years old, they wont even bother sticking it on the sniffer..

But there are ways around such... Such as a friend inspector that will put his unaltered on there for ya.... but you know... I would never condone any illegal activity
