Not to shabby, looks like they have yanked all the smog off already, and you got a weber. Nice start!

ok i suppose if u flip the ball joints over crank torsions before doing so and then get the lowering blocks take a leaf out of each spring and it should sit low

i just want to lower it a lil bit 3 or 4 inches

i thought about bags but if somthin malfunctions then ur kinda stuck

took that ugly rear bumper off yesterday looks a whole bunch better

their is a rocker panel that needs repaired and their is just surface rust in bed and tailgate oh and left side the louvers i got to patch up make new ones

i knocked around on it didnt sound like anymore bondo on it

yah LUVINIT the weber and smog crap is plugged off they kinda cobbled somethings but runs good all except needs a clutch

let my friend learn to drive a stick in it yesterday damn near blew my good motor  was tryin to shift into 3rd but put in first i quickly grabbed and put in neutral

just thought i d add that for laughs

update 10/17

well i got the hooks shaved the right side marker lights and antenna

spent about 3 hrs on this project
had to replace the rocker panel it must of had a half pound of bondo

so i made a new one the bends came out nice, trick is tack weld corners

and sides after every tack weld i take a wet rag and cool it which takes a

while but keeps from warping or holes in sheet metal

waiting to get solenoid kit for shaved handles

Image

and this is my favorite thing i worked on today spent a couple hours on it

the hood is not finished yet jus a glimpse of it in process

im gonna make this truck somewhat resemble a shelby mustang front

nose you know the elanor kit off gone in 60 seconds i am gonna try to

make that kit out of metal so i dont have to spend a fortune

keep u updated though hope you enjoy the pics as much as i do cause i put in at least a good 20 hrs into it already :)

im not the best at explaining but if their was like a draw function on this i could draw it out

well plasma cutter comes in hand with these situations i cut around from outside line to the door where there is like a 90 degree bend

then took a piece of scrap sheet metal measured out what i needed for it i think it was like 17" tall 9" bottom width and like 4 and 5/8" top width
i think that is figured with the 1" that bends around the door

and then i bent the 90 or whatever degree and left an 1 inch overlap for inside door like i said above
and of course once you do that you have to form it to the body so i cut lil slots in the 1 inch part that allows you to form the piece to the body to blend it in

but you need

sheet metal
sheet metal brake
plasma (recommend) or somthin to cut the piece out
and welder
grinder with (fatboy sanding discs) work real good
spray bottle with water to cool metal
primer or wd40 to keep from rusting

thats all i can think of right now

if worse comes to worse i can make an extra pair when i get a chance

hopefully tomorrow my hood will almost be done

phew long post
