my jet set showed up today.......if you get new jets don't expect a huge change in performance.

here's what was in my truck when i got the carb.

larger numbers are the secondary side:
air 160/170
idle 60/60
mains 140/140

here's what they sent me:

air 170/180
idle 55/55
mains 150/170

i had to block a port in the top of the carb also. solves the tilted/hard left over rich.

this is my impression of the changes... not much for power,i can notice a little sharper throttle and it doesn't feel like i'm over carburated as much...... i think that this carb is a little large still though........is there a smaler version of this carb around?

I'm starting to think that the needle valve is too big and letting in too much gas for even the float to shut it down.

i think i have the needle valve that came with my carb in a drawer some where it was good but i rebuilt the carb anyway when i got it. if i can find it i'll send it w/that ignition set.

do you want these jets ? or did you get those taken care of ? they seem a little lean for my truck and to tell the truth they ran alright around 6000-8000 ft going over the pass.

All my jets are leaner than yours so I don't think that'll help, but I would love the needle valve. Unless you've got a pump jet lying around you could part with?. . .didn't think so.

Your moneys' already in the mail so it should be there Monday or Tuesday.
