I think I have one on the motor I just pulled. If so it's yours. Give me a day or 2.

I am glad the truck that I got was very nearly complete. I adjusted the valves, but there is still a tick, but it is not as predominant now. But other than that, she hits the road FRIDAY!

Why not take the head off, and solder the hole shut? It would seem that it would be metric, something the size of a oil pan bolt.

do you loose low end torque with a header? I was considering not doing a header for fear of loosing torque. Whats the cheapest for a header neways?

thats the header i am running and i love it. I have 2" pipe whith a cherry bomb for the exsaust and it performs great. Whith the other stuff done to my motor i didnt notice any loss of low end but a 4banger inherently wont make power untill at least 3,000rpm. My truck pulls strong from about 2,000to 6,000rpm. Only hitch i had whith instalation was having to grind the little hook for the clutch cable off the bell housing to clear the collector, and it took a short section of flexable pipe to clear that first crossmember.

Well Dennis came and got that bolt which was actually not a bolt, but someone had cut off the pipe where it went in to the bolt and welded it closed, Dennis did go to town to try and find a bolt that matched but had no luck. Maybe he will fallow up on this post and let you know more.

Zane, I couldn't find anything in town. However, I have the tube on my parts truck. I will try and weld one of the buggars closed and see what happens. I'll send one to you if I can do it without mucking it up.

just had an idea i thot i might throw out. I was going to take the part that originally screws in and take it off the tube and see if I could get the hole in the nut that holds the pipe on tapped to put a more easily found bolt in it. Dont misunderstand me talking about retapping the hole in the manifold. Tap the whole in the nut and plug it with a bolt and put it back in. Might be possible, the machine shop i went to just didnt have a big enough tap.

Never thought of that, I actually might see about that before I weld it closed.
