ford efi is pretty easy to work with, i believe there's only something like 10 wires to hook up...

i'm sure you can carb it.

you can change the intake manifold. I did that to my 85 Lincoln Town Car. It has a 302 that was origionally fuel injected. I took the intake off of a mustang cobra of the same year (a Police interceptor Crown Vic would work just the same)I put a 4-barrel holley on it, it ran a little better, I like it just because it gives my pipes that rough sound instead of the rhythmic hum you get from fuel injection. personally I would stick with fuel injection. It would be cheaper to buy a JET computer replacement chip (about $150), you get much more power that way, just be sure to "break-in" the engine, don go around flooring it all day, granny it for a week or so, to "prepare" the seals for the rising of hell!

just 1 question, why would you want to run a carby on it, EFI is more fuel efficient and more powerful

you can easilly make it carbed. Just have find an intake for it. But i must agree, if you can get the EFI working that would be better.

Keep the EFI if you can. My first car was a Police Interceptor with the 5.0 EFI and when I got it I drove the shit out of it for three years and never had to change anything more serious than the thermostat. Ran like a bat outta hell too.

efi is better if you can/want to keep it but if your set on the carb idea be warned some efi fords have no provisins for a mechanical feul pump so you have to set up an electric pump

My vote is for keeping the efi. Hooking up wires correctly is a lot cheaper than getting different parts to make a less than stock performing engine.
