I believe that would be the kickdown cable.

it is the kick down cable. it needs to be hooked up to your throttle link. when the throttle is at WOT the cable should be all the way out.

If your running the stock axle with a TH-350, the kickdown is basicly useless. The low gearing makes the kickdown ineffective. If you change the axle with taller gearing, you will need it. Even with the extra power of a V-6 or V-8.

hey guys what about the tube to check the trans oil do u guys use aspecial one or what? cuz mine like hits every where? engine and trans are in the truck. also what pullies u guys use?

Lokar makes 2 kinds of flexible dipstick tubes for the TH-350. The longer one costs around 70.00. As for pulleys, that will depend on where you plan to mount the alternator. If you go with the standard aftermarket setup that fits on the drivers side, header bolt mounts, You'll need a single groove pulley for the crankshaft and maybe a .090 shim. The waterpump needs to be a short shaft type and you can either buy an aftermarket pulley or hit the wrecking yards and find one that will line up the belt.
