I have KYB's on my truck and they work really good, especially if you put some weight in the truck at times.

I just bought some Monroe's and haven't put them on yet. I've been wondering whether they will make a difference or not. Everytime I hit a bump, I feel like I am going to crack a rib or something. Hopefully putting them on this weekend.

Any tricks to the make the install easy? or anything I should know? never replaced shocks before.

Sometimes it is alot easier to have an extra set of bolts around.

If you have to cut the bolt, get a dremmel and cut the nut off. it makes it really easy to keep spare parts around!!!

I notice quite a difference between the HD shocks and the car shocks. So if you want your fillings, you might want to get a softer non Heavy Duty shock.
