Did it help in adjusting your carb to best burn?.....Or was the carb too worn out to be correctly calibrated to achieve best burn? I have a fairly new factory carb and I can't get it to burn 'clean'. Did the 02 sensor and gage work out?
Yeah, I suppose. I was able to Target real close to stoich at idle. And verify that it wasn't too rich or lean @WOT.
It also helps me realize that I was having vacuum leaks and other issues, because I noticed the AFR would randomly change from what I normally was. (Carb was actually vibrating loose despite being lock-tited)
No my carburetor was actually almost new, a Weber 32/36.

Also....Nice Dash!! where did you get it?
It's a factory dash.
I threw in that little tack not long after I bought the truck just to know what kind of RPMs I'm running down the highway or down the trail.
I just had some gauges left over from previous vehicles (act, egt, and vacuum/boost) and then when I had the engine rebuilt I added actual water temp, oil temp, and oil pressure gauges.
