Sounds like the tank is plugged, mine and my dads luvs both plugged up in the tank from sitting so long. Try blowing air through the fuel line to the tank. My dads was so plugged, we had to drop the tank and remove the sending unit to get to the bottom of the line in the tank.

Sounds like you need to get inside the tank to get the gunk from under the line in the tank. (the black rubber fuel line in the pic)
Not real hard to drop the tank. Did my dads from underneath in about an hour, mine takes about 5 minutes with the tilt bed  ) 3 bolts on the front, 3 bolts on the back, 3 rubber vapor lines, 1 fuel line, filler hose and return line and fuel sender wire.
Here is a pic of mine with the bed off.

I dont remember but I think they are 12 or 11mm. There are 3 on the front of the tank and 3 on the back. The front lip of the tank sits on a support rail and the back bolts underneath the bracket so put a support (I used a floor jack) under the back of the tank so it dont come crashing down when unbolted. I hope you dont have a full tank!
I can go snap some pics from the other side if you need them.

Did you dissconect the fuel guage sending wire and all the hoses? The back of the tank has to come down first.

Forget the bed already, I have pulled these tanks in a half hour many times, shorter time then you have responding to this post.
