My door hinges are a bit saggy. I replaced one but it's not much better, has anyone tried taking the pin out to put some bushings in? I searched and didn't come up with much.

i got lucky and got a good one from ctmandu... before that i have heard suggestions of putting in a bushing or boring the pinhole slightly and putting a bigger pin in.

I had the hood hinges on my El Camino rebuilt and they came out really nice, cost more than repros but I heard those fail after a few years. This guy also does door hinges and says he will do them for any type of vehicle.

I took the upper hinge from a passanger door that closed well and just flipped the direction it goes.

Perhaps for the lower hinge you could take the pin from passanger side and put that in the exsiting lower hinge.

Weld it solid and drill it out. Or weld it out and grind it down. I noticed my driver side door is sagging the other day and this was my initial thought. Havent inspected it much.

I'd rather oversize it and go with bushings, they are replaceable and less dealing with proper pin alignment that way
