Have a good chance on getting an 80 luv 4wd. I noticed that they sit fairly low. Wondering how difficult it is to get it up in the air and what parts/fab it would take. Not wanting to do anything crazy, maybe just a couple of inches for now.

I put a 3'' bodylift on my 80. This is the company i used.....they sell 2'' or 3'' ...plastic or metal...resonable priced..and done in a weekend. Even though it says 81 luv, it is the same setup....good luck http://www.performanceaccessories.com/c ... eet001.htm if that dose'nt work, you can find it in users links, on the site.Image

if uy want to lift a luv do it the right way. get an 82 83 toyota solid axle from a pickup. then get the lift springs for it. u have to extend ur frame about 8 inches and have to buy allprooffroad.com cross over steering. its well worth it and it gives it a more original look. later matt

I installed a 2" body lift within a day. Ordered from whitney. Approx. $100.00. Very easy w/ little to no mods. Way more included in kit than needed. Keep that in mind. There are 2" w/ some 3" parts included w/ this kit so can be confusing. This will allow me to run a 15x7 rally wheel w/ 235-75-15 tire. I will turn torsions to allow front to set up a little higher in the front just for looks. Cheap and easy

i'm with the solid axle idea too, if you want to lift your suspension. any front axle off a '79 to '85 toyota will work, and you can use any rear from a '79 to 95(86 to 95 are better, since they're 3" wider, and wont rub your tires on your frame at full articulation)

so with the toyota axle you dont need to mod the axle itself jus the frame and it will fit both rear and front

mine came in 3 inch. thats the most common kind your going to find. you'll could probably find 2 inch but i think you should go with 3 for the height.

it'll give you a pretty good height. remember the torsion bars will only go up 2 and a half inches without f*cking them.
i actually had to strecth my legs a little to get in mine.
if you want to go higher, jcwhitney.com has a body lift kit for 90 bucks.

Humor me, Got any onlinestores you can buy them? I tried JCwhitney and Kragens. Some of the stores around where I live, arent helpful with some parts when it comeds to a Luv.

it's not going to be a luv part.
it's universal. have you checked autozone, checkers, napa ?
it should be a part thats on the shelves. or just ask for leaf spring shackles.
if you don't have any luck ( you shouldn't ) but if for some reason you do i know the dodge darts have a set on them :)
