Joe, (yes, 82 Diesel) is there a replacement available for the relay and where should the dropping resister be located if it still has one? Wireing this thing back to OEM is going to be interesting. MERRY CHRISTMAS All!

The dropping resistor is in a square-ish metal box that is mounted on the rear of the radiator support. It has two leads coming out of the bottom. I don't think replacements are available, except on the used/salvage market. Besides the wiring harness itself, you will need 2 relays (they are still available new). You will also need the QOS controller if you don't have it. You would find it mounted in the driver's side kick panel in the cab, against the inside of the LF fender. As far as I know, these are only available used/salvaged. The glow plugs have a sensing resistor attached to the metal strip that provides power to the glow plugs. That's probably still on your engine.
For used/salvaged parts, try here first (since you're here). Then try IsuzuPup.com (this engine was in P'ups through '87).
