Hi guys...My Stock 77 LUV is beginning to howl and it's from the rear end. I would like to get a new ring and pinion set but am having trouble finding one. Anybody out there have any sources or solutions for this problem?? Hope so. I need this beauty for work. I would take a complete used housing if anyone has one. Please respond. Thanks a lot.....Don

Check for a loose nut that holds the pinion flange on. Block the wheels, apply p-brake, torque to about 100 ft-lbs, stake the nut to the threads.
It might help, since it's already noisy it can't hurt unless you over tighten it.
Any third member '87 & older will fit, maybe some newer ones. You have a 4.10 ratio.

The oldest means any Isuzu pickup, 72-81 Luv, and up to 87 Isuzu Pups, they all are supposed to interchange, even some of the Isuzu Amigos I've heard. While shopping try to go higher ration it really helps on the freeways. If you don't find one get back to me, I know a number of Luv owners here in So Cal, prabably find one for you.
