Check for a loose nut that holds the pinion flange on. Block the wheels, apply p-brake, torque to about 100 ft-lbs, stake the nut to the threads. It might help, since it's already noisy it can't hurt unless you over tighten it. Any third member '87 & older will fit, maybe some newer ones. You have a 4.10 ratio.
