Hi guys.... Haven't posted for a while but I need some advice. I tried to find this in the archives but, after about 15 minutes, I just couldn't find the archive section. I just added 15 inch rims and some moderately tall tires to my stock truck. Now, when I drive over rough roads I occaisionaly hear the left front tire rub somewhere on the body.___Haven't looked. I remember hearing that there is a 1/2 inch square drive bolt attached to the torsion bar that I thought about turning a couple of notches to 'raise' the body sllightly and stop the rubbing. That thing is probably pretty rusted by now though I live in AZ. Does anyone out there have any helpful hints to get this done without wrecking anything?? Thanks, Don

spray it down with some wd 40, use a little bit of grease, and use a dremel or wire brush to clean the threads before you try turning it.

PB Blaster is a good solvent to spray on the bolts etc. Has a catalyst in it that helps break down the rust...works really good on piston rings that are stuck.

Hi Members....Yesterday I was able to get the torsion bar torqued up a bit more and the front end came up about 3/4 of an inch. The LUV looks more balanced now and I think the rubbing has stopped. Thanks for all your assistance.....Don

Now go get the front end aligned, your tires are likely going to start wearing more on the outside edge because you changed the camber.
