Thanks for the info. I had found from my research that luvs no matter what year, are prone to have dash damage of some sort. I have thoroughly looked over my 80 luv for general cosmetic damage. Somehow, the passenger mirror's plastic is melted lol.
Like i said, I have NO idea what I am doing when it comes to working on vehicles. But, I am a very fast learning and understand logic behind color coding wires and hoses with zip ties if you don't know where the go again.
I want to re-paint my luv. I have not looked around it to see how things unbolt and come apart. Here are some questions I have reguarding painting:
1. How difficult is it to pull the Bed and cab off?
2. Would it be recommended to pull the engine and components to paint the engine bay?
3. My goal is to have EVERYTHING I want painted sanded and primed in one 18 hour day.
4. I want all painting done in another 18 hour day. Is this possible to do a good prep and paint in 36 hours? Or am I rushing this a bit?
Thanks all for the input! Oh, and could someone link me on how I can post images of my luv? I would like you all to see my nice project! My first luv. 1980 2WD 1.8L Paid $650 for it
