Does anyone know a tow hitch that would fit up to where the bumper mounts to the luv's chasis? I'm looking for a class 3 tow hitch to be mounted to my frame. :D

JC Whitney would be the place to look for one ... but if you do some reading around here you'll find we don't recommend towing much with the LUV. Definitely not rated for class III. Class 1 maybe, 2 is sketch, 3 is a no-no in my opinion. Not enough weight or brakes.

Would you know of one that fits another make and model that will also fit a luv?

You may have to have one welded up. Either modify one for another make of truck, or weld one up from nothing.

Yes, my LUV is a great little truck for most of what I need. Wouldn't trade it for an F150. But the ''L'' stands for light. I am sure the factory step bumper is OK for the 2000 pounds max in the owners' manual. Unless you have done some serious upgrades, I would stick to it.

Actually at the moment I don't have a bumper,, I use the LUV for my Lawn company, and getting a little tired of playing musical lawn equipment. I am however wanting to transport a 5x8 enclosed trailer that I currently own that is being unused. I completely understand that it is a Light Utility Vehicle, I just need it to work for 2 months or so until I can get a NPR dumper, which I'll use the same trailer with.

I would want to use the receiver hitch. Just do not over load the engine or truck... I like the 2" inch stuff, just because I have other things with it. Nothing wrong with the 1 1/4inch stuff, I have had these also.

You can just buy the receiver part, the square part and have the rest made up for you. I worked at a place that made one for a Corvette to pull a 40' Wellcraft Scarab but it was only used in parades.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.
