I believe Taz was going to post up some walk through pics and install info, but I think he just said if you needed help to ask
My bad...my apologies to everyone.
(And while we're on this subject - to those that thanked me back then for answering a few simple questions they PM'ed to me - your're welcome. Anytime. Kudos to you all for rolling up your sleeves, diving under your hood, and gettin' the job done all by yourself.)
But in my own defense - one of the reasons I didn't was because I figured there was enough pointless pics and babbling on about simple repairs/mods and other BS stuff already being posted here at the time.
(*cough fulla@#&! cough*)
And the other reason was it seemed IMHO pretty much like a no-brainer.
Just take off your old intake, take a few pictures if you need to because your memory is as bad as mine (...lol) - then set it next to the new one and swap everything over/install the necessary stuff on it untill it is ready to bolt it on. What doesn't come with the new intake is easily removed from your old one. Anything else you might need such as a simple hose connection/fitting, etc. can be bought very cheapily at the nearest auto parts/hardware store. And de-smogging the new one is basically the same as de-smogging the old one. (Plug the hole in the manifold where the egr bolts on.)
But hey...if after you have done a SERIOUS search here for all the info and pics about all of this intake/smog removal stuff that are already posted - you still feel you need someone to post pics, write a detailed description, and/or come hold your hand just to help you do an intake swap as simple as this one...you could always just make it easier on yourself by shipping/driving your truck to my place and paying me to install it for you....lol.
J/K...BTW.
I already have enough to do around here thanks to the wifey's infamous never-ending honey-do list. And one more vehicle in the yard and the wifey says I'm a dead man....lol
