I was wondering if anyone had tried or could tell me if the rear disc hubs from one of the 80's model Troopers could be swapped into my '84 differential? Trying to economically get away from the drums for simple ease of maintenance.

It will come down to what it will take to get the mount bracket off the Trooper rear to your housing and then machining may be necessary of the axles to fit the rotors. You can also make your own mount brackets to if necessary.

You might fab it all up & get it to fit, but it would be really costly. Rear disc Troopers only came with Isuzu 12-bolts, every thing about them- axles, axle tube- is much larger than the 10-bolt in your truck, so nothing will bolt on without modification.

That's what I was afraid of. The aftermarket kits are ridiculously expensive and they're 5-lug, so I guess I'll have to persue another option or just deal with the drums.

Just a thought but if you can find and measure the Trooper rotors and if they are or close to a .990 measurement then you can use the GM metric calipers and then Speedway has a large selection of mounting brackets.
