Depends on your setup. Different carbs require different PSI, so if you get a non-stock fuel pump you'll have to get a regulator to reduce the PSI to the proper level unless it is already rated for the application you need. For example, the Webers need on or under 4 PSI if I remember right and the Hitachis need around 7 (correct me if I'm wrong, anyone). The stock pump puts out enough PSI for the Hitachi but I've have to add a Holley 4 PSI regulator (I've heard some people just adding additional fuel filters) to keep the carb from flooding out.
