5200 holley same has weber
And I'm guessing that this is the carb (Holley 5200) that was on my truck before I did the swap just now. It looks very similar to the Weber that I just bought. I got the new Weber on there and put a new battery in. Got in the cab, turned it over for about 5 seconds and "Varoooooooooom" she started right up and sounded pretty good as well! Got to adjust the mix as it's running rich and get the electric choke working as it won't idle down after being warmed up. One small problem. I can't find which wire goes to the choke. There are wires dangling everywhere on that side of the engine compartment and not knowing the truck, I'm having a little bit of a hard time finding it. It is just straight off the positive side of the coil, right??? Anyone know???
So I was going to take it for a test drive but I can't get the clutch to work. In other words, the clutch won't get it in gear to go anywhere. Trying to put it into reverse just grinds away at the gears. Just got off the phone with a friend and he thinks it may be just stuck from sitting so long. I'm gonna go out and try to get it "unstuck", if you know what I mean. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas on why the clutch isn't working and how to fix it, let me know.
Anyway, the carb seems to be a fix for the problem and as soon as I get things ready, I'll take a pic or two to let you see how it all looks. Glad I bought it even though it took forever to get here! Later!
