Hmm... I can tell you one thing, the 84-86 troopers have an almost identical suspension setup as my 79 LUV. Now if you can find someone to tell you whether or not the 72 suspension is like my 79, you're all set. If it is then I can assure you that a ton of the suspension parts will fit.

yes, they look identical the thing is on the v6 trooper there a little bigger around but the ends look the same size so i think it would be nice to have them with all that extra wieght from the v8, im gonna get them with in the next 2 weeks, i will put a new post up for u all on whether or not they fit

I've heard of 4x4 trooper guys/gals swapping in the smaller 2WD Isuzu PUP bars in order to get better suspension travel from stuffed to droop. There was quite a bit of difference in the suspension on the 2WD LUV from 80 to 81, but I believe the bars still have the same ends splines.

I dont think swapping torsion bars is going to give you any more travel on the suspension. You can crank stock bars up until the control arms are as far down as they can go. Pu'P bars may give it a better ride when its cranked up all the way though.

just put oval wheels on there....when you get to the large part you will have enough travel to get you over your obsticle.....hehe
