Trooper track is about 4" wider than a LUV (58" & 54"). Trooper's with 2.6's ('88 & newer) have 10-bolt front diff's, 12-bolt rears, probably 4.56 ratio. Luv tranny crossmember is in the wrong place, Trooper clutch is hydraulic. Luv brake system will need modified to use the trooper rear disc's. If also swapping the engine the fire wall will need modified for dizzy clearance, 2.6 fan is offset, Luv is centered.
88/91 troopers with somthing other than 4.55 are very very very few.
as in less of them then there are T\D troopers
in 89 there was a ((short two door model)) called a RS
that had 4.77 gears
this gear set was never sold in the usa, for the older 10 rear 8 frunt axils
