Just buy a Subaru Brat sticker and put some seats in the back.

This is the master cylider that was recomended and I found this one used with th booster on EBAY, does anyone think it would be a good idea to use the complete unit booster and master cylinder. I was thinking this since it would have came from truck that already had 4 wheel disk brakes. Any ideas

Booster too. WOW.
I wonder if you could put a pressure regulator on it to run drum brakes in the rear axle.

OK finally got my Master Cylinder http://www.dragstuff.com/techarticles/RacingMasterCylPN.html but I am not sure what size brake lines to run.I am using a brake booster also. I want to replace all my lines.

Here is the complete setup:

Rear Calipers are Front S10 calipers Using bolt-on brackets from http://www.kore3.com/products.php?cat=16
11" rotors on rear
Front Calipers are twin piston from a Silverado
12" rotors on front

Any advice would be great

What part number is the master? If it is the one you asked me about in another thread it is a 3/8-24 inverted flare. I could not find a master using the dragstuff numbers that had the 3/8 size and the adpater part numbers were incorrect. The hardline should be 3/16 tube. The stock LUV hardlines are 3/16 tube, but the nut size is 10mm. I got tired of waiting on my adapters and got a couple of extra hardlines (the short ones are cheap) and used the 3/8 inverted flare ends off those on the LUV lines using a double flaring tool. The Luv lines to the rear should be the same ends as the ends of the rubber lines for the S10. Not the part that goes in the caliper, but the other end. Not sure on the Silverado..

http://www.napaonline.com/MasterPages/NOLMaster.aspx?PageId=430&CatId=3&SubCatId=3

Here is the info for the port sizes:

Brake Cylinder Bore Size:1 1/8"
# of Line Ports:2
are these the fitting sizes?

Yeah, those are the thread sizes. You will most likely have to either order or have a truck shop make you lines with that size end on one end or try to order an adapter to go to the size you need. I went to several local places when I got the master off the Dragstuff link, and it came with those sizes. I couldn't find anything local and ordered the master with the 3/8-24 ports as that's a standard size. Just curious... Why are you wanting to use a booster?

Thanks for the Info

I am using the booster because I am making this a daily V8 driver and I thought I would need it.

I run the stock booster with no problems. I have re-drilled front brakes and rear drums (not too sure of the dia.but it is a 9"rear end) with 2 1/2" wide and my truck stops great. I still would like to upgrade to the Aerospace front brakes.

I will try to get pics soon. The truck has been slow in getting done. But the master cylinder and brake booster are a 9" chevy disc/disc unit from a 90's camaro I think, it was from a frieds parts pile, I will rtry to find out.

The hard line would be a standard full size chevy or an s10 brake line would work too

After installing several disc/disc systems i have found and learned that using the front calipers off any thing can and will usually create more problems then its worth.Aside from the obvious no read park brake it is real difficult to control the brake bias due to the front caipers have such a massive amount of clamping force (very large piston) the cheapest and best for the money that i have found is the caliper setup off the back of the mid 80's Toros and variants(front wheel drive) as these are the same as the mid 80's Camaro/Firebird but at a fraction of the price even the mounting bracket is the same but i never liked the heavy rotors(same as front) so i would get the rotors off mid 70's Toros then cut them down to size( 1.120 to .990) and the last setup i got was 40 bucks.

It's up to you as it is your rig, i am just stating my experience in this matter also it is the setup that is on my truck in my avatar. There is more info but i guess i ranted enough.

Thanks for the info, rant all you want, if it will save a headache then definitly go right ahead. For now I am running the stock front disk with s10 front calipers on the back. No parking brake but I am trying to figure that out ( using the S10 caliper b/c they are free). Also are running 5 lug or 6 lug?

Adapting a mid 70's/early 80's vette set up would be cool. They have a mini drum setup inside the rotor...
