Fuse

They are all fused separately. Had approximately the same thing happen to me.

Sounds like the low beam in the headlight burned out, try switching the outer lights with each other, if it does the same thing on the opposite side then is the bulb.

All four globes should be single element type, if all four light up on high beam this rules out a blown globe.
My guess is the problem is in the low beam wireing circuit, either at the headlight swich or low/high switch. Ive seen many high/low switches go bad because people fit higher wattage globes and dont use a relay.

If the low beam circuit is blown. Why does the low beam still work on only the passenger side
and not the drivers side? And then all 4 lights work on high beam only ? :? :econfused

High beam is separate from low beam and there is separate fuses for left and right head lights.

I believe you will find that the outside lights are dual filament high and low beam. The inner lights are single filament high beam only. So you probably still have a burned out bulb.

Egg you may be correct. I forget theres some differences between the Luvs here in Australia and other parts of the world. Here in Australia all the Luvs i have owned have been fitted with single element globes.
It makes more sense to have a double filament in the outer globes, wonder why it wasnt so here in OZ.

For my $0.02 get a multimeter and test the filaments before you buy a new bulb. They should either be continuous or have a resistance associated with them. If they are open then they are blown, get a new one. I would hate for you to buy a new one and it not be bad. Also, I heard you should replace headlights in pairs, if you are going to replace them, because they dim gradually so you don't want a new one that's bright and an old one that's dim.

Well i swapped the bulbs on the outsides (low beams) to see if it was the bulb

the one that wouldn't work, worked fine on low beams on the other side

so its definatly not the bulb

:?

what the hell else could it be

i put new fuses in it, Used a different High/Low beam switch, I also cleaned and looked at all the grounds.

STILL NOTHING

any ideas?
