I just bought my 78, the only problem is the gas tank leaks if i fill it more than half way. It is the two piece gas tank. Anyone know where i can get a gasket or maybe is there any easier fix?

I think I would try j b weld if your trying to find a quik fix. I put a amp in the trunk of my 76 Monte Carlo and I drilled through the bottom and through the gas tank so I dropped the tank and put j b weld and put it all back 2gether and let it dry and it don't leak any more

Go to a NAPA store they usually have a two part epoxy that is made specifically for repair of fuel tanks and you can put it on with the fuel running out even. I have used the stuff several times and it works good and permanent.
