Hey guys , it's been a while , my password got goofed up again and i've been off here for about 3 weeks . I have also been busy at work , which is a good thing these days . Just thought i'd give ya'll a quick rundown on my new motor .It is a vortec 4 bolt main block that i was the original disassembler around 80,000 miles . the block has had the deck squared , new ARP main bolts and stud kit installed to use the factory windage tray , it has been line bored , bores have been roughed in and are to be finish honed to blue print as rotating assembly is out for balance .The rotator is a Cola 4340 1-pc rear main crank with 3.85" stroke and radiased for H- bearing with 1800 bob weight . The rods are Lentz billets in 6" . They are an old Nascar/bursch/arca full float rod with new bushings and resized big ends in standard SBC deminsions . Flat top 2 valve relief J/E SRP "off the shelf" pistons are going on them . A Hellfire top ring and Totalseal middle ring with a low tension oil ring . All this weighs in at 1700 and some change so the balance will be material removal vs. weight added . I intend to spray this 250 at the hit after a short break in on the chassis dyno to tune the A/F ratio and curve . The truck spent Christmas at the race car shop having my flux core welds and homemade motor mounts rewelded and braced up for the new power plant . I also got into the 400 for Pinks all-out in Ennis . Im going down to the machine shop first of next week and will get some more pictures .
