are yall taking about where the front of the bar goes inthe a-frame? should pull out.
when i got my step side the drivers side was cut off at the front i couldn't get it to come out either, so i started soaking it in wd-40 and tapping on it finally it came out but it had a suction on it due to the rust that made it a tight fit...i would pull alittle and it would suck back in a little...i used a set of channel locks and a screwdriver,i would pull it out and use the screw drive to hold it in place so i could get another bite on it with the channel locks.

i did try to knock mine out with a sledge hammer with no weight on it and it wouldnt budge if u wanted to be safe u could take a big nut or washer and put it around the back side and weld it so it couldnt move. the front side is locked
there a pic on the first page where u can see it

i see the stub sticking out and it should pull out, what i did was get a bite with pliers on the stub end, tapped the sides and pulled at the same time, it took some soaking in WD-40 but it came out eventually.with what you have you could get some vise grips and lock them down on the stub and tap on them but soak the hell out of it first for a couple of days( spray it everyday ) if you haven't done that already.

what did you put in place of it after you pulled it CT's Luv? I was thinking like what brandon said have something on the back side but not tight up against the lower control arm might cause a bind. Glad I mentioned something about that to ya brandon that would suck for it to slip out which would be hard but still just for security.

I am following your build as well its coming along! I am going to have to fabricate the mounts for my qa 1's (like you have done) it has the eye mount. I would rather just make it than buying the stud conversion.

ok after looking at it seems the reason i did nothing is because the only way the torsion bar to come out is to pull the nut off the front and pull to rear. It cannot go forward because of its size....actual bar is bigger then the end where it bolts on. so there is no need to do anything if it did randomly your steering would hit it. but if your real worried about it then do somethin about it
