Ct glad your laughin cause my combo will have so much done to it I don't know what it will do .

Farmer , it is still tagged and inspected . I just got a little to serious with it . Kinda wish i'd stayed @11.50's

Terry , thanks for the heads up . Hope I don't have to make driveshaft changes . i need to get it together so I can get the rear bars adjusted .

If you're going from a th350 to the 'glide, the shaft should be the same...

O.K. still on the fence about axle shafts . Looking at going 33 splines and new spool or staying 31 . Axles are the same cost . I also got with glassman Chad yesterday while picking up CTluv's old grey truck 8) , and he said he's gonna cut me a glass rear window to go around the bars and polish all the edges , then have it sent off to temper . This is doable , but nobody goes the extra mile to do it . Glide sould be in by thursday . Hoping for some test-n-tune time friday and maybe sunday . Also going long tube headers , which will force me to run a fuel cell in the bed  . 3" exhaust with race muffs dumped in front of the rear axle . I hope this motor lives until the new one gets done .

Your axle twist problem will diminish greatly with the 33 spline set up. If I remember correctly, the warranty on a set of 31's is like one or two years, the 33's are lifetime. Mine are 33's, and I haven't twisted one yet...

Thanks for the info . What brand are your axles ? Ima call tommorow with the specs and probably just go ahead and do the 33's . If you haven't had any problems , then my little combo and drag radials won't hurt them .

I've used Moser before, nothing wrong with them at all. The Strange were in the truck when I got it...

prolly gonna go with Moser 33's set up ready to bolt in with there spool . Just set the back lash and install the axles . It is like $650 delivered with studs, sealed bearing installed , retainer plates , prolly have the spool bearings installed also , as I don't even have work bench or a vise much less a press .

O.K. got all this done bout 1 am saturday morning . Slept till 11:30 sat and couldn't stand it . Loaded up and went to Houston raceway park (1/4 mile ) for test-n-tune between rounds of the bracket race deal ( good track prep) . It was hot track temp was like 155* ambient was like 100* sun was brutal . First pass was slow , as i loaded an empty N20 bottle in the truck . I let it cool and loaded a full bottle in it and made a second pass . This time it left and i mean left . 1.50 60' 12" to 14" wheelie and straight as an arrow clicking the 660 beams @ 6.55 @105 . IM ON A PASS BABY ! The thing is clean , no pop or bang . I shift to second still clean , buzz through the traps 2 7200 with passenger side of the hood about 1" high ( broken spot weld ) 10.36 @ 127 ! My fastest pass ever . Got back to the house about 3:00 thinking about Clobberthon 50 starting a@ 6:00 pm only to find out it was rained out , but the track (Houston motorsports park 1/8 mile ) was still open for test-n-tune . Got a call from the guy who heads up the class im running now about a jack pot race everybody was gonna do . Back on the road . Got there about 7 un loaded and ran a 6.45 off the trailer . Went 2 rounds and decided to change plugs , as i was to run #1 quailfier next round ( I was #2 quailfier ) . This was a mistake on my part . I changed to a different plug and went 1 range cooler . It killed the plugs at the 1/2 shift and went through at 6.90 . I had this guy by a tenth at the 60' mark and i don't think he could have gotten around me . This thing dead hooked on drag radials all day long . Anyway I got a couple of crappy pics to go with the update . I am still sore and have a header gasket to replace .
