has anyone swapped a lt1 and 6 speed into a luv? if you have is it more difficult mounting tranny and engine compared to a regular 350 th350 swap?

I'm not for sure, Can't speak on the behalf of everyone. However I haven't seen one. The engine it self would use the standard headers (You will need O2 censor) and mounts as the stander SBC swap. Not completely for sure, but you should be able to use the transmission mount as well. However due to the shifter placement (at nearly the tail shaft) and shape they will have to be modifications done to your transmission tunnel.

8) I say go for it! shouldn't be much harder then the standard swap. The transmission tunnel will probably be your largest issue of modifying.

current performance or painless wiring are two stops to make for a wiring harness. Painless makes stand alones for pretty reasonable. I always wanted to do an ls1 and a 6 speed but those go for some pretty good coin

I did a 5.3 swap into a 1998 s10 with current performance harness, it worked out pretty good, I've use painless in the past and had all kinds of problems.

its out of a 2002 suburban, I looked on craigslist for the motor, no harness, I just bought one from jared, all the emissions is there, it passed emissions testing in Texas, it was a 4cyl 5spd, but I converted to auto. all the gauges work, a/c works ( although not hooked up in the pic, but is now) it is a very fun truck, and for sale :ebiggrin

oh yea, speed limiter is set at 200 via HPTuners, I've been learning on this truck..

runs good, I've took it to the track once, open diff, so it spun off the line, but ran 14.8, I've surprised a few mustangs and ricers, no vettes though. I'm running all the factory S10 gauges, I had to adjust the fuel gauge reading in the ecm, but it works fine..its no bother..
