Well thanks to nukeday :) I am back in business with a luv truck againImage
although not the best shape it makes for a fun project. His build inspires me to build a small block chevy actually. I have a good block and transmission for the build. He mentioned that I have a lot of parts which still do which will come in hand for what I have brewing for the transplant.

if I do
my idea is to gut most of the parts down to the chassis.

-350ci/th-350 (i know typical huh!)
-tilt front end- with extended fenders (plan to cut out core support and both inner fender wells for easy access)
I will brace somehow though with all that mumbo jumbo I thought I may use the hood latch assembly to latch the full front tilt keep it simple!
-build a new bed for back (step side style) and have a tilt for it as well.
-need to form up some rocker panels and weld in place which I have done before P.I.T.A :x
-coil over front suspension
-removeable transmission x-member (like the idea i heard on the board)
-find a rear axle install choices (9", 8.8", dana 35 or 12 bolt) may just keep stock in for a while and if it blows up i have another :)
-make a drive shaft
-gut all cab glass and parts inside
-dash modifying
-body work (body filler, primer and such)
-paint and under coat
-engine and transmission overhaul
-electrical and plumbing
-new rubber like grommets, molding

other nickle and dime items im sure of

and work bugs out which will take some time!

o k the shocks in back are not any good that explains the ride home being crazy. the belt is a little too loose needs different belt or i would have to mess up the chrome alternator bracket. edelbrock is a little too rich and Im going to check the timing and see if I can't rob shocks off the parts truck :P

and heres the pictures

that's funny you should ask my neighbor has a vega with a 305 in it just it needs paint and his oil pan gaskets keep going out so he is waiting on a part to fix that because there is to much pressure in the crankcase I guess? He was like whoa that yours he likes it.

yeah I love the truck I uh got it for $1350 lets keep it on the down low

and yes i wouldn't mind helping you do a tilt front!!!

paint wise well its crazy Im gonna first just for now shoot it with some my dads trailer paint gloss black but later paint it with some candy apple red

it needs the following

-shifter worked on (might spring for a b&m or hurst dont know yet?)
-shocks (temporarily I will rob the ones off the truck from nuke)
-new belt the old one is too loose
-exhaust manifold possibly or gasket I have a leak I can hear (my neighbor has a manifold)
-hood pin locking device
-paint job along with some body work also front tilt revision
-new tonneau cover for bed (its a bit ratty)
-running lights for the back (or wiring)
-guages need hooked up (dont know the speed or volts or temp) have the tach and oil pressure
-carb work tuning
-timing checked
-bring the firewall back and notch out spot for the distributor
-wiring
-heater
-stereo hooked up
-wheels and tires later on
-fuel cell
-headers
-coil over conversion
-brakes upgraded that aero kit for the front looks good from the thread I seen
-9" maybe down the road

and nickle and dime stuff I m sure of

I have a crap load of parts to work with though and some I can part with

maybe we can trade for some of the above Hmmmm?

thanks for the comments
