Hi...Anybody know of a source for the LUV window channel and 'anti-rain' rubber that acts as a squeege against the glass?? Sorry...I really don't know what that piece is called. Mine have fallen apart and the chrome edged rubber wiper is shot. My windows rattle in the channels and plenty of cold air enters when I'm driving the little baby around. I see that JC Whitney has quite a selection of channel...maybe someone has purchased the corrct pieces and has the correct Whiitney stock number. Thanks for your help. DON.

Go to http://www.restorationspecialties.com You have to call them to order, but they have door seal and window channel for LUVS. I'm not sure if they have the squeegee piece you are talking about, but talk to them about it. I'll bet they find a good close match.

Just a word of caution: The newer Luvs are different from the older ones. I don't know when they changed, probably when they removed the wing windows.

On the inside, my 75 (wing windows) has that fuzzy stuff that looks like a brush. On my 79 (no wing windows), it's rubber. The rubber is thicker across the bottom. If you try to put it on an older one, like I did, the window won't crank all the way up.

Same for the outside. They look the same, but the 79 has a lip on the bottom. When I put some on the 75, it kept the window from cranking all the way up. I had to carefully removed the lip with a box cutter to make it work.

I've bought from restoration specialties before and, other than slow delivery, it worked out well.
