Does it make a huge difference changing from a points style ignition system to HEI, on a 1.8 isuzu motor please elaborate

Points system on the LUV just plain sucks...

I don't know squat about HEI, but this is an excellent and very easy to do mod for the ignition system, this thread will explain alot.

I have Pertronix installed in my stock distributer, combined with an MSD 5 box.

Starts first kick every time, not stalling at high rpms etc... and no burning, changing, gapping points, ever!
